So I got a ticket back in February... speeding... 32 in a 20. uhg. Anyway.. you have 90 days to complete the defensive driving so it doesn't go on your record (and to save you money on the ticket). anyway.. my 90 day dead line is May 25,2009. that's memorial day, the municipal court isn't open on weekends so basically it was due today. I took defensive driving 2 or 3 weeks ago... and it was then that I realized I should have ordered my driving record from Austin 8 weeks ago. F my life right... anyway, I found this website that was supposed to get it to me in 5 business days... it finally came in last night. took my stuff to the court clerk and that ticket is finally out of my life... $112 for the ticket, $40 for defensive driving, 6 hours of my time, $15 for the certificate expedite, $26.15 for the driving record, and 86 days of me stressing out about the stupid ticket... again.. 32 miles per hour. for a total of $193.15... and 6 hours of my time. The original ticket had I not taken the Defensive Driving was $220. I saved a good $26.85.
This is my second ticket so far.
