Summer 2014

Summer Break is here! HOORAY!!! 

The first week has already come and gone, just as I know that is how the first month is going to be. 

I am teaching summer school again, and taking 2 grad courses, so the first month is going to be filled with waking up early, dressing professional etc. 

This past week we had interviews for the open position on our grade level, next week I have 3 days of afternoon work shops after summer school and a Team Leader Meeting one of those evenings as well. The third week of summer school is a whirlwind with the STAAR testing, and packing everything up to take back to class, and then it's over! Cha-ching $$$

I will have a day or 2 to collect my thoughts and pack for CHICAGO. Plane tickets and hotel arrangements already done. (Beginning of July)

I'll make a trip to Houston, TX mid-July to visit my sweet friend, Caroline and snuggle with Baby Alden, all the while creating projects to sell on my Teachers Pay Teachers store. 

NOLA trip has been booked for the end of July. Road trip with 2 girl friends, hotel 4 blocks from Bourbon St. with a rooftop pool. Yes, please.

About 2 months ago, I referred to the Love, Teach blog and her Summer 2013 Bucket List. aside from the travel and school plans I already had, I began thinking of random little things I wanted to accomplish and post to my blog (minus the clever memes). Here is what I have come with:

#1. Read books for pleasure

• Finish - Chelsea Handler's Uganda Be Kidding Me
• Orange is the New Black Memoir by Piper Kerman
• Thrive by Ariana Huffington
• The Next America by Paul Taylor

#2. Have a Spa Day

• Facial, Massage, Pedicure - all in the same day

#3. Go to Canton 

• First Monday Trade Days

#4. Antique in Mesquite, TX

• Similar to #3. I'm all about the crafts and antiquing

#5. Visit 3 Dallas Museums

• Holocaust, Perot, and 6th Floor

#6. DIY - Kelly Green Campaign Desk

• The Kelly Campaign

#7. Go to Six Flags over Texas

• I haven't been in a REALLY long time, and I have a free admission ticket!

#8. Knock off the annoying things on my To-Do list

• Windshield replaced/oil change
• Dentist appointment
• Organize Closet/Goodwill run 
• etc. etc. etc.

I shall keep the blog updated on how the list is going!
