Babies
Ive been in the infant room for the past two weeks at work. The lead teacher went to Germany to see her mother, so since Im kind of a floater I got to play with the babies all week. I missed my Jr. Pre-K class a lot, but really enjoyed sitting in rocking chairs all day. We got two new babies last week so it was fun to get to hold them. Amanda and Izayah. both are 6 weeks old. they were cute. But Ashley is still my favorite. One day we had 10 infants with only 2 teachers (the ratio is supposed to be 4 to 1) I changed 8 diapers in an hour.... it was so bad. and then thursday I changed 6 in 30 minutes... just one after the other. Today I went back to my regular class. they must have been spoiled for the past two weeks because they were having trouble listening and following directions today. I guess I have to whip them into shape again. Im really interested in getting this book called "The first six weeks of school" apparently if you do everything it says, your class will be like little robots when it comes to transitioning and what not. Not having control of my classroom is one of my biggest fears of being a teacher.
