So this whole student teaching situation has me stressing out about money. I am not supposed to work while student teaching, and I don't understand how UNT College of Education expects people to survive and pay for things, but Dr. Murphy says that's just the way it is.
I heard on the radio that the fed. gov. is looking for 2010 census takers. You start at $14/hour and work in the evenings and weekends. It's supposed to be the ideal job for students, retirees, and a great way for even full time workers to make extra cash. The only downside i see is going to people's houses. We live in a crazy world. But if I can do like 15 hours a week on $14/hour, I can at least survive during Student teaching!
I also am starting to hate my job with all my heart. Child care workers don't get paid NEAR enough. it is extremely upsetting. sometimes I love my job, other times i hate my life. I can't wait to work with kids that arent in their terrible 2s or 3s. So I think I'm going to start looking for a new job...
Anyway, Im currently looking for a cheaper living situation with my old dorm room mate, Cathryn. but If we can't find anything that we can both agree on, then I may just end up renewing my lease here.... uhg.
