I have been working out daily with our school's music teacher for the past 2 weeks and it is such a relief to get my work out done EARLY. It forces e to stop working, go work out, and then if I have anything else to do, I can finish it after I work out! We are running every other day, and the days we don't run we do a Jillian Michaels workout. If I didn't run with Rachel, I don't think I would be able to prepare myself for my 10K mud race coming up June 1st!
I'm using an app on my phone called Ease into 10K. You run 3 times per week, and each week you increase how much you run. This next week is a pretty big jump since it will be starting week 4. The work out is a Brisk 5 minute walk, run 8 minutes, walk 1 minute (repeat for 4 times) with a 5 minute cool down walk. I've used a version of this app when I did Couch to 5K, and the app also has a half marathon training version, and a marathon training version. I am not a runner by any means, but these training programs are very doable!
