Summer Break Teaser

Spring Break is such a tease for Summer. It's almost not even a real "break," because most take advantage of the weekdays to get in appointments and take care of other errands teachers can never handle during the school year. I for one, got my bumper fixed from when it got hit back in SEPTEMBER, filed my taxes, went to the bank to handle misc. financial business, and of course, caught up on some (not all) of the work I was behind on in school. I also spent 12 hours in the car going to and from Arkansas. It will be nice when my family lives back in Texas, and I can spend time with them during my breaks, but won't have to spend time traveling to get to them.

Today I have been thinking of things I want to do in my Summer time off, and I thought I would create a bucket list. (Not as clever as this teacher's bucket list)

Here's what I have so far:

1. Go to Canton (I've never been!)

2. Antique/thrift in Mesquite, TX

3. Have a Spa Day

This is just the beginning, and I am still thinking. The list is not meant to be long or ridiculously challenging. I do have a few things planned that I have to do, such as 2 Grad courses, teach summer school, attend my required professional developments, go to Chi town, and possibly even go to New Orleans. All of this depends on cost. I also have family and friends in different states and far away TX cities that I always say I need to pay a visit to! I enjoyed crossing the Oscar Movies off my list, so this just makes summer a little bit more fun!

I'll be thinking of more ideas, and will post a fun, Summer 2014 Bucket List blog soon, like Love, Teach.
