Kids are funny about their clothes in Kindergarten... They dont even know nor do they care about what they wear everyday. (Except for one little girl who is all about fashion and is always complimenting myself and other students on their clothing.) It's all things that their parents put together of course... some parents dress their children in sloppy "comfy" clothing, others just in average target clothing, and then some go overboard and dress them like they are adults. Why would you put your child in flip flop heels when you know that they go to Recess for 30 minutes a day, and they go to PE??? Also... SKIRTS! Has anyone EVER met a 5 year old that knows how to sit like a lady ALL the time??? If you insist that your childs outfit looks best in a short skirt... then please make it a skort... they sit on the floor criss cross applesauce... its only a matter of time before your child will start getting made fun of because her panties were showing.
One girl today wore a shirt that said, "French fries are Vegetables" I thought it was funny.
Another girl wears shoes that I am pretty sure are Kid "Shape-ups"
I feel like I am in the daycare sometimes when I find myself zipping everyone's jackets and tying their shoe laces.... in Kindergarten we stop helping with those things at Thanksgiving.
and lunch duty is gross... I get ketchup, milk, and slobber all over me when I open their lunch snacks and what not! I dont like it! kids try to open everything with their mouths before asking for your help!
