Spring Break

Well Spring Break has come and gone so quickly!

The "Save TX Schools" rally in Austin had a huge turn out. I woke up at 5 am Saturday morning and was on the road for Austin by 5:30. according to the organizations counting system of putting red stickers on everyone, they counted 12,000 of us. The sign that my friend and I shared was two-sided. On one side, it read, "Education cuts never heal" and the other said, "No teacher left behind" I really hope that those legislators are getting phone calls from parents and teachers everyday, and that rick perry would get his head out of his you know what and make education a priority. I may need to be looking into teaching abroad...

After the rally was over, I drove to Houston to spend the week with friends and the boyfriend. It was a nice week and went by way too fast.

I have 5 weeks left of Student Teaching! That is crazy! the weeks go by so quickly. Kindergarten days seem like they go a lot faster, because we really only teach full class in the morning. I have to be observed 2 more times... and I am wracking my brain on thinking of a kindergarten lesson that will last 45 minutes. I don't think it's going to happen... haha their attention span is 5 minutes max and we have to stand up and shake all the wiggles out! I hope my supervisor doesn't mind watching us do the wiggles dance 2 or 3 times!

Come on and Shake, shake, shake all the wiggles out
Shake, shake, shake all the wiggles out
Shake, shake, shake all the wiggles
then have a seat!
(repeat 2 or 3 times)

I have 3 assignments left in my Special Education class, and a section of my portfolio, that my teacher has yet to prepare us for.. she says that we will get to it after student teaching is finished.. so that's good.
