So another piece of my future has kind of fallen into place today.
With my room mate moving out, that causes me to move out as well (which is totally fine). I just wish I had a place to go. Right now my place is Aledo, TX... and that's not appealing at all.
However, my Plan B for the Fall if I don't get a teaching job would be to long-term sub for 12 weeks in Frisco in 4th grade (with the team i student taught with!) That is a great back-up plan, but I haven't had the sub offer yet...
So, assuming I get the sub offer (the teacher has told me many many times since she found out she was preggo in like April that she wants ME), I would need a place to live in the Dallas/Plano/Frisco Area... and for only 3-4 months.... I have looked in to the tiniest efficiencies you could imagine, and they are either too expensive, or in a really horrible area.. plus I would be living in like 300 sq. ft. So that's not appealing. I also looked into those Extended stay hotels, and it would cost me like $1100 a month to stay there! uhmm NO!
I have just been going day by day to wait and see what happens and today something fell into my lap!
My 4th grade mentor was telling the team about my situation, and one of the teachers said she was seriously interested in having me rent a room at her house! They just built it last year in anticipation of having more children in the future, so as of now the upstairs is totally empty. The bathroom has never even been used or decorated, and I could take all of my own bedroom furniture. It would be perfect! Plus Rachael and I could carpool to work!
I am trying not to plan too much.. I know God is chuckling at me when I make Plan A plan B plan C... but I just can't help it!
