24 Hour Fitness

In honor of losing 20 lbs and working towards losing 20 more, I became a member at 24 hour fitness. There is a 24 hour fitness 2 miles down the road from my apartment, and I am LOVING it so far!

I am giving up my cable (not internet) to be able to afford this "luxury." I honestly have wasted about 3 months of cable because I only watch The Biggest Loser on Netflix when I am home... If I need to get away and watch some HGTV or a favorite show that is coming on, I can just go to the gym and plug my head phones into the elliptical!

I can go to any 24 hour fitness in the country (with the exception for 4 in NY and Cali). Unfortunately there aren't any 24 fitness clubs in Arkansas! I can attend ANY workout class. I did a Yoga class the other day and LOVED it. That is definitely something I hope to do weekly. Some other classes I hope to get involved in are: Spinning, water aerobics, and pilates. I have this awesome app on my phone that will give me the upcoming classes for the week at my nearest clubs!

I will be running my first ever 5K on June 23rd. We are two weeks away and I am starting to get nervous! I have continued using my "couch to 5k"app and the last workout consisted of {Warm up 5 min walk, Run 15 min, Walk 3 min, Run 10 min, Cool down 5 min Walk}. I have always been a cheater when it came to running in sports and athletics. I am proud of the growth I see, and it's always a plus that running helps you lose weight!
