Summer School is over! Woohooooo!!!! I am so glad that is done and over with! I know it was a beating starting off, and the last week dragged, but it will all be worth it when I get that extra check!
The next few weeks of summer are going to be extra special and a little out of the ordinary for me because:
1. I am not looking for a job
2. I'm not moving anywhere (apartment/classroom included)
3. I'm not working a minimum wage job to make ends meet
I am going to take full advantage of this break. Although I was teaching summer school, I still saw a lot of friends and went out to a lot of dinners. My diet and exercise regimen have been less than stellar these past 4 weeks. I miss having a work out buddy, and a consistent schedule to help keep my health and fitness on track.
To help get myself back on track, I started a 24 Day Challenge today. And you may not remember, but I have a membership at 24 hour fitness. I got an e-mail congratulating me on my one-year anniversary at the gym (ummm... its depressing to think about how many months I didn't use it at all) and because I have been a member for a year, I get a free personal training session. I have also looked at the group class schedules for the 2 gyms in my 5 mile radius, and have come up with a schedule I hope to hold myself accountable for until I leave for Arkansas. The classes range from Zumba, Yoga, Spinning, or Weight classes. Anything to get me out of the house! It's way too hot to run, so my running has gone from 3x per week to only once a week.... It is crazy how quickly you lose your stride! I have to work myself back up to where I need to be!!!
