8 days!

Even though I have already been back at school working in my classroom, going to meetings, and helping teachers move rooms, I officially go back to work on the 19th. Meet the Teacher is on the 22nd, and there are a few things I need to get done! 

Before going back, I hope to have the first unit of Writing Lesson plans in, as well as the first 2 weeks of Math Lesson plans. I am planning writing this year, which is a new thing added to my plate from last year, but that's okay! Writing is something you can plan unit by unit, where as Math I can map out the cluster, but I can't plan too far ahead. With Math it depends on how the students are doing on a certain skill before I can determine what route to take in my lessons. 

If I can get my lesson plans and copies done before the day I have to go back, it will make inservice week a breeze!!! This time last year I was at trainings for 2 weeks while at the same time trying to set up my classroom. I was working in the room up until the day of Meet the Teacher! This year having all of that done, AND no trainings gives me time to focus on the stuff they dump on us at inservice, and leave school at a decent hour!

I am really looking forward to this school year!
