It's Red Ribbon week at the elementary school. That means we have a different thing to wear each day.. (if teachers want to wear jeans. Duh I want to wear jeans!!!) so today was hat day. I wore a Texas Rangers hat. WOOOO World Series 2010!!!! can't wait for that!

Hat day is not the best day for a head lice letter to go home with the kids... it has gotten a little out of hand at our school. Now coming from the daycare, I'm no stranger to the head lice scare, but this time I feel it is more serious.

There is a boy in the fourth grade that has some pretty long dread locks... he had lice.. and came back to school THE NEXT DAY. his dread locks were still there, and you can't run a comb through them... sooo I am not sure how they cured him of lice... he gets it again.. his parents reveal that he has a weave in his hair... but refuse to take it out because it will interfere with his modeling career. good lord. I see this kid tomorrow during math and help tutor him... fingers crossed I don't have to go out and buy lice shampoo!
