So much has been going on at school. My 5th graders take the Math STAAR on April 2nd. There is only a week and a half left of curriculum to teach, and then we review concepts for a few days until the test!
It is crazy how quickly this school year has flown by. This past week we took class pictures. That was such a fun "first" for me. For two years I have stood in the background while the "real" teacher took her picture with the class I had either been student teaching or long term subbing for. These kids are mine and even says, "Miss Conn's 5th Grade Class" on the bottom!
I am also sooo incredibly blessed and excited about not having to job hunt this summer!!! I signed my contract for another year with Frisco ISD!!!! I am thinking I will stay at my current position in my current classroom, but you never know what could happen. I am just blessed to have a job. We also just got word about the summer school program in Frisco, and I will definitely be applying for a position there. I always need extra money!
Speaking of extra money, my social life has been bumpin more than usual these past few weeks and will continue on throughout the summer. This is hard on my pocket book and my weight! Last weekend the music teacher at our school threw a 30th birthday party for her husband, and that consisted of DART train riding, dinner, bars, bars, bars, and a discounted room rate in the Sheraton hotel in downtown Dallas. Spent SO much money but had a blast. This week was also a blast. My old room mate Caroline had her bachelorette party, and that was definitely a good time.
Looking forward to Shreveport, LA with my Momma and then Caroline's Wedding!!!
