Except Hump Day isn't always happy when it means Spring Break is half way over!
The last 2 days of school leading up to Spring Break was totally crazy. Thursday we had a field trip to the Plano Symphony Orchestra, AND Open House that evening. Friday was the oh so exciting Maturity Video. Needless to say, I needed a break!
Mom and I kicked off Spring Break with a visit to Mi Cocina on Friday night. Saturday I bought a new computer! I love it!!! I am a Mac person, and my little white macbook had lasted me 6 years (it's still kickin'). However, it runs slower, makes funny noises, and the battery doesn't last very long any more. I didn't want it to die on me and lose all of my data, so I just made the new purchase. I have the 13'' macbook with retina display. More features, more power, and just a way nicer computer. It was time for an upgrade!
My mom was doing some laundry at my place, and my washing machine made a loud pop sound during it's spin cycle. I assured my mother that it had never done that before. She continued to put more loads in, and it continued to make that POP sound at the end of the spin cycle. by the 3rd load, the clothes were really squishy, and it was clear something was wrong with the machine. It was time for a new washer and Dryer. So off to Home Depot we went. We also shopped at Lowe's, the Sears Outlet, and online, but home depot is where we ended up making the purchase. Talk about spending lots of money in 2 days!
After we bought the washer and dryer, We were off to Shreveport! All we did was gamble and eat. It was nice to get away and experience a new city. Mom and I also learned some new slot machine games. No huge wins, but lots of little wins that kept us playing for a really really really long time!
Now that I am back in Frisco, I hope to get some Spring Cleaning done, lots of sleep, social time, and only work on school stuff a little bit :). Ending the break with my friend Caroline's wedding!
