2013 was the year of running for me. I would say that is my biggest accomplishment. If you look back on my blog and other social media, that is all I talked about!
2014 is still a mystery, but there are some things that are certain!
I am officially ENROLLED (and paid) for Grad School for the Spring Semester at The University of North Texas. I am so lucky to have parents that are willing to support me financially in this endeavor. I love that I get to be a part of the university where I received my bachelor's degree as well. As of now I am in the Accelerated online program, and it offers classes in 8 week semesters. A full semester is 16 weeks, so what I will be doing is taking one class per 8 weeks and 2 classes during the summer. There are 10 courses to take including a practicum with my principal, so I am hopeful to have this sucker knocked in a year and half to two years. This will be a 2015 accomplishment!
Earning a masters degree will add a $1,000 stipend to my salary, but what it really will do for me is give me the opportunity to move up in education in the future. I am talking WAY future, because at the moment I have no desire to leave the classroom. I love having a class of students that are mine and TEACHING. There will be plenty of time in my 40 years of education to move up, however, NOW is the time to get this degree, when I don't have a boyfriend/husband, or family to take care of.
As far as New Year's Resolutions go:

As far as New Year's Resolutions go:
- I am planning to continue to run and will take part in the Rock and Roll Half Marathon in March, a possible half marathon in August, and possible Marathon in December. That is still in the works and being debated by myself and my running buddy, but you have to have something to shoot for!
- Build Strength. I am adding two classes at the gym to my work out regimen. Body Pump. It is a weight lifting class, and taught by my Zumba instructor, so I am already a fan. I am currently laying in bed sore from yesterday's work out!
I see nothing wrong with setting resolutions as long as they are reasonable, and you can do anything you set your mind to!
Let's cross our fingers that I can be the best multi-tasker ever and take on a full-time job, grad school, half-marathon training and weight lifting!!!
