Back to Work!

After I had my last day of subbing, I drove home to spend a few days with my mom, and to attend my very dear friend's wedding in Aledo. Kimberly was my best friend in middle school and high school. She started dating Jordan in high school and we kind of drifted, but lately we have been keeping in touch. I can't believe she is married!

Today I went to my New Employee Orientation and had my CPR/First Aid training. I will be making $9/hour. Sigh... all of that work in college only got me an extra 50 cents an hour! Please keep praying that I find a real teaching job for the fall! I have to go back to Lewisville tonight for a staff meeting. So all in all. I get paid for 5 hours today at $9 an hour, but my CPR training and TB test cost me $40 out of pocket... I guess I sort of broke even? well.. not if you take out the gas and taxes!

I am also on a "Bargain High" right now. I have walked through a lot of good wills with my mom, and there are books but not in good enough condition for me to sift through, yesterday I went to a Thrift shop with Madison, and I got 30 books for $6! But today, While I was on lunch break, I went to this wonderful thrift store that was actually clean and smelled nice and all books were half off. They are usually 3 for $1, so I got 3 for 50 cents! I got 72 books and only paid $12.70! And they are in excellent condition!

I need to do more thrifting..
