22nd Birthday

WOOOHOOO! It's my birthday! I love birthdays!


My Momma came to my apartment on Friday. We shopped around The Container Store and Target, ate dinner and dessert at the Cheesecake Factory (yum) and she spent the night with me!

On Saturday (yesterday) we woke up and headed to iHop for some breakfast! yum again! We shared a bacon temptation omelet, short stack of pancakes, and a Belgian waffle. very very full... but on we headed to the Allen Premium Outlets. It was pretty packed, but I managed to snag some cute teacher clothes for myself from Ann Taylor and J. Crew.

The previous night I had gotten her to cave and admit that I had in fact guessed the correct location for our mystery birthday celebration. CHOCTAW! The Allen outlets are right off of 75, so off we went to Durant, OK. We got ourselves a small snack from taco bell. We were feeling lucky heading to the casino when our total for our order was $7.77!

(foreshadowing: sadly.. the only time we saw 777 was on our receipt :( )

It is only a 45 minute drive to Choctaw... I found it very strange that we were only 15 minutes or so away and my mom just couldn't hold it and had to use the restroom.. whatever....

We arrived to Choctaw Casino and were heading inside. When we got to the end of the escalator, I saw 3 very familiar faces! THAT surprised me! It was my aunt Kathy, Uncle Richard, and Aunt Joanne! It was a party!

My aunt Kathy made me a very cute birthday crown and it got lots of attention at the casino. I wore it all night and will wear it on Tuesday when my friends come over for dinner.

We layed out by the pool and that was nice. I need some more sun. Then we headed in for some gambling.

I played with $20 for several hours. I was doing the penny slots and down to 20 cents of my $20, when all of a sudden I hit the jackpot! haha it was only about $21.... I was on fire because I had won my money back!

We had Dinner at an all you can eat buffet. (like I needed more food!) It was very very good.

I got an extra $10 from the casino for getting a players card, and fed in another $20 once I was out of money again, and then some extra 1's I had in my wallet. I was up and down all night and starting to get depressed because I was really low on funds towards cupcake time.

We were ready to go upstairs and have birthday celebrations, so I was trying to run the rest of my money out since it seemed pointless to go upstairs with a measly $4 or however much it was. I started betting 90 cents, and then my machine started flashing that I had won $45!!!! whoo hoo! I was much happier and ate cupcakes with a big smile on my face.

This morning I put in another 20 while we were waiting for breakfast buffet to open up. I got up to $32 and then back down to $26.. still ahead though. after our yummy brunch, I lost the rest of my $26. We went upstairs and packed up, said our good-byes to Richard and Kathy, and Mom, Joanne and I headed back inside. I blew another $15.. then fed in some other money... came out with nothing!

Oh well! It was a lot of fun. I'm pretty tired... and am enjoying time in my apartment by myself. Still working on organizing those papers.. and finding a place for all of my birthday gifts and shopping items!
